Unlock operational wins leveraging AI agents and intelligent integrations
John Weathers and WorkflowArt share practical, impactful integration & Ai agent automation strategies that generate real results
Beginnings are hard :) Welcome to my first post!
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, I’ve considering writing about my experience in the technology space for years and have finally committed to sharing what I’ve learned over 25 years of building and deploying integration, data, and ai agent related software solutions for fortune 100 companies like General Electric through small and medium businesses $30 million to $1 billion in annual revenues.
Why this blog and why now
Over the years I’ve developed viewpoints on HOW organizations should approach and manage specifically building and deploying intelligent integrations and ai agents which have very specific and intentional architectural designs and which are practical and support ideal workflows from a business process lens. My passion around these topics carry into every interaction with customers and team members.
I’ve found that when I am able to spend significant 1:1 time with clients and team members discussing strategy, system design, and execution approachs; results have been overwhelming positive and have generated significant successes/wins for the customers in which I’ve been very fortunate and thankful for having been trusted to work alongside over the years. I want to scale this impact to more people/orgs who need practical integration and ai agent related advice and how to apply to their needs.
My goal is to build a community of like-minded individuals who genuinely need practical advice for how to intelligently integrate systems and agentize processes
I am not a Harvard MBA nor an award winning Ai research scientist. In fact, I was homeschooled for the entirety of my education and didn’t graduate from university. After completing high-school I went directly into industry at GE (at 19 years of age) and was extremely blessed to work with hundreds of talented leaders and engineers, who with the help of Six Sigma methodology taught me how to think about building and implementing systems in a thoughtful and data driven way; tied directly to operational results/value. I’ve honed these skills for over a decade after GE and want to share what I’ve learned with the goal of making these challenging subject areas for most executives and business leaders easier to understand and demonstrate how to gain real business changing results without repeating common costly mistakes $$$.
Specifically, I will be posting weekly on key topics of interest relating to integrations & ai agent design and implementation that you can apply in your businesses
It’s hard for me to stress enough how flabbergasted and frustrated I’ve become with the pain I continue to see across the business system implementations, integrations, and automations (ai agents etc) landscape as I meet with potential clients who have experienced SIGNIFICANT pain in the way of failed ERP/CRM implementations, failed integrations across back-office systems: connecting payroll systems, inability to properly recognize revenue, lack of quality EDI integration solutions, in-efficient order-to-cash operations across CRM<>ERP, SaaS product revenue to ERP, etc.
There is a lack of understanding and therefore strategy being shared with system of record purchasers/customers by implementors and integrators as to the criticality of having core business processes defined and designed in such a way as to inform an intentional data, integration, and ai agent architecture that results in cleanly orchestrated architectures that produce high-quality, trustable data that can be used to drive business/operational decisions. TOO MANY organizations continue to struggle with basic business reporting, analytics, and manual processes due to not having taken a measured, process-first, intentional system-design thinking approach to their key and critical back-office system configurations and integrations.
I am building this WorkflowArt community to openly discuss and share strategy and practical advice that can drive change and make a real impact for organizations and leaders who deal with this operational pain and cost impact to their businesses daily.
